Building Asset Officer

Permanent Full Time

The Hastings District Council is currently seeking applications for the role of Building Asset Officer within the Asset Management Group.  This is a permanent full-time role.

The purpose of this position is to carry out asset plan preparation, implementation and project management for the Buildings and Property Assets Team, who maintain HDC owned buildings and facilities.  The role plays an important function within the team by developing and maintaining the buildings and property asset register and database, and collecting and maintaining information on the performance of building and property assets.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Building and Property Management or similar qualification

  • Proven experience in building and construction management and asset planning

  • Proven project and contract management experience

  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of Building Legislation including the Building Act.

  • Excellent computer skills and experience

  • The ability to communicate professionally, both in writing and verbally

  • Excellent customer service skills
