Hastings District Council is looking for a superstar to join our i-SITE team. This is a permanent part-time position, working 15 hours plus per week, based on a Monday to Sunday roster, and will include weekend work and public holidays.

The role of Visitor Information and Travel Consultant is interesting, busy and varied, and is centred on making visitors’ time in the Hastings District more enjoyable.

The ideal candidate will take enormous pride in giving excellent customer service, and will be an organised individual with good general knowledge about New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay in particular. They will also be confident communicating with a wide range of people.  

A background in retail would be an advantage as this role encompasses the retail component of our business including purchasing, stocktaking and stock control. A National Certificate Level 3 or 4 in Tourism is also desirable but not essential, as training will be given.
